Peter Campbell

Peter has been ‘in aviation’ for 38 years, initially as a British Army helicopter pilot followed by five years of commercial flying for Air Hanson and McAlpine Helicopters. He then flew privately for a Greek shipping company, island-hopping in the summer and heli-skiing in Switzerland in the winter. In 1982, Peter founded Lynton Aviation with the late Christopher Tennant, but moved on after twelve years to form PC Aviation.

Despite a worldwide dip in economies, the Company thrived and, too busy to cope on his own, Huxley joined him from Lynton in 1996.

Other interests include singing (for his own pleasure, no-one else’s!), sculpture, the Alexander Technique, languages and, of course, rugby – although he has been known to watch other sports! He works from his home in Northington, a village near Winchester.

Huxley Cowen

Huxley started his aviation career as a pilot for British Airway Helicopters flying ‘oilies’ to and from the North Sea rigs in 1980. He then flew offshore briefly for KLM Helikopters before flying a large number of different helicopter types on a wide variety of missions while based in Johannesburg for two years.

In 1987 he joined Lynton Aviation in the UK (with Peter as his boss) as a VIP helicopter pilot. He became involved in the sales department in 1994 and was keen to take up Peter’s offer a few years later to join him at PC Aviation.

In 2004, he formed his own company, HC Aviation, but also continues to work in partnership with Peter. Although most of his time is spent in the buying and selling of aircraft, he also manages the operation of several helicopters for clients. With thousands of hours of helicopter experience, he can’t quite shake off the lure of flight and is still flying both privately and commercially from time to time. A family man, excellent with a saw and hammer, travels the world, and swings a mean golf club!
